📣 💐 She teaches PE. She started an archery team at Oakland … the only one in CCSD! She is a team player. She’s the Queen of the carline. You may have seen her dressed as Cindy Lou. She’s fun. She’s smart. She loves the orcas! 🐳💕

📣 💐 Mrs. Carr teaches SAIL and gets to know all of Oakland's Gifted and Talented students. She is so good, she's the best SAIL teacher in the whole district! 🐳💕

Did you know that Oakland has the district's first and only Archery team?  They're also award-winning champs! 

Coached by Teacher of the Year, April Blanton, Oakland's Archery team is a "sharp" example of the great things happening at our school!

Meet Marley - he's Oakland's spelling bee champ for 2024-2025!

Marley just placed 7th in the district compettition, which means he's moving on to the next round.  Let's go Marley! 

If he wins this round, he could be headed for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.!

The teachers at Oakland recognize each student as an individual and celebrate their strengths while pushing their students to grow. I know my kids are loved and protected when they are at Oakland. It shows when they start to miss their teachers during summer break! Not all schools are lucky enough to truly have that home and family feel.
