Birthday Celebration Information

Important parent information regarding school birthday celebrations:

We know that birthdays are a special time, and we want to celebrate all students! Your child's birthday is recognized on our Oakland News program, and they receive a special birthday pencil.

Cupcakes, cakes, flower, balloons, etc. cannot be brought to school for birthday celebrations. We encourage you to celebrate your child's birthday at school in other ways. Here are a few suggestions if you choose to celebrate your child's birthday at school:

• Donate a book to the classroom library in your child's honor
• Send a special note with your child in their lunch or bookbag
• Allow your child to wear a birthday pin or sticker
